Highlights:

This is a wonderful 14 nights (15 Days) Holiday where the world of ancient Egypt & majestic Jordan awaits for you. This tour is considered one of the best combinations of highlights of Egypt & Jordan including best sites that should not be missed for any visitor.

Your accommodation in Egypt: is for 5 nights on Bed & Breakfast in Cairo and 4 nights on Full board basis aboard the Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan.

Your accommodation in Jordan: is on Bed and breakfast basis 3 nights in Petra and one Night in Amman.

Your visit starts at Cairo and ends back at Cairo by using   international flights from Cairo to Amman and back to Cairo (not included in price).

Day1 Saturday:

Arrival at Cairo airport, meet and assist with English speaking assistant. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight in Cairo.

Day2 Sunday:

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning after breakfast you will be driven by our Egyptologist English-speaking tour guide to enjoy a visit to Memphis the ancient capital of Egypt until the end of the Kingdom. Continue your tour to the funerary Necropolis of Memphis “Saqqara”, with the famous Step Pyramid of Djosser.

Visit the great Pyramid of Cheops which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world still remain awesome, the middle Pyramid of Khefren and the smaller Pyramid of Mycerinus. Visit the Sphinx which was discovered in 1912, and the valley Temple of Khefren. Then you will be escorted back to your hotel for overnight [B.]

Day3 Monday:

Early breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Cairo airport and board your domestic flight to Luxor (one hour flight). Arrive at Luxor airport and transfer to visit  the East bank where the fascinating Karnak Temple, the largest and the most impressive of all Temples and the scene of the most important of ancient Egypt’s many religious festivals and ceremonies.  Visit to Luxor Temple which was once linked to Karnak by a 3km avenue of sphinxes and contains evidence of early Christian occupation.

Check – in the Nile Cruise, Lunch & dinner on board. [B., L., D.]

Day4 Tuesday:

After breakfast we continue our exploration of the Nile’s West Bank, the world’s largest open-air museum. We also explore the Valley of the Kings where we have the opportunity to go underground and experience the tombs first-hand. Before continuing our way to Deir el Bahary we stop at Howard Carter’s house, the famous archeologist & Egyptologist who discovered the tomb of Tut Ankh Amon. We then continue on to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, it was built of limestone, not sandstone like most of the other funerary Temples of the New Kingdom period, therefore it’s considered one of the most distinctive Temples in  Egypt, Stop at Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Sail to Edfu via Esna. Dinner on

Day 5 Wednesday:

After breakfast, start a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best-preserved of Egypt’s Temples, where you still can see the magnificent colors on the ceiling. We then sail to the riverside of Kom Ombo to visit the Temple which is very unique as it’s dedicated to Sobek the crocodile God, and Horus the falcon-headed God. The layout combines two Temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels. Continue to Aswan. [B., L., D.]

Day 6 Thursday:

This morning features the highlights of Aswan including the High Dam, an outstanding engineering achievement built in 1960, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the majestic Temple of Philae; The Temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. The Temple was nearly lost under water when the high dam was built in the 1960s. Fortunately the Temple was rescued by a joint operation between the Egyptian government and UNESCO. Every stone block of the Temple complex was labeled and removed later to be assembled, like a giant jigsaw puzzle, on the higher ground of Agilka Island. The whole project took ten years.

Enjoy sailing on the Nile by felucca (traditional Egyptian sailing boat), to pass by the Nilometer, Elephantine Island and the Botanical Gardens (Kitchener’s Island). Dinner and overnight on board [B, L, D].

Day 7 Friday:

Disembarkation after breakfast. Then transfer to Aswan airport to board your flight back to Cairo. Arrive at Cairo airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to start your tour to visit The Egyptian Museum, housing the magnificent treasures of Tut Ankh Amon. Overnight in Cairo [B.]

Day 8 Saturday:

Breakfast at your hotel at the early morning. This morning we travel to Wadi el Natroun, which plays central roles in the history and tradition of Christian Egypt & where Pope Shenouda III the Patriarch of the Holy See of St. Mark, was laid to rest. Originally there were 50 monasteries but only four have survived modern times. Later continue to the beautiful city of Alexandria, known as ‘The Pearl of the Mediterranean’. Visit the Pompey’s Pillar, the Catacombs of Kom el Shogafa. Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 9 Sunday

After breakfast, continue to explore the highlights of Alexandria. Visit the National Museum, the New Bibliotheca & the Montazah Gardens. Lunch on your own and drive back to Cairo & overnight at the hotel [B.]

Day 10 Monday:

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cairo International airport. Assistance through airport departure formalities and boarding your flight to Amman , Upon arrival, meet and assist with English speaking assistant. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight in in Petra. [B]

Day 11 Tuesday:

After breakfast, visit of the ancient Nabatean Capital starting on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Then proceed to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Red Rose City. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight. [B]

Day 12 Wednesday:

Breakfast at hotel.  Free day at Petra to explore the ancient city, Then you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight. [B]

Day 13 Thursday:

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to visit the Christian Town of Madaba and visit the Monastery in Mount Nebo. Transfer to visit Jerash, one of the most preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. Transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight. [B]

Day 14 Friday:

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport. Assistance through airport departure formalities and boarding your flight to Cairo , Upon arrival, meet and assist with English speaking assistant. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight in in Cairo. [B]

Day 15 Saturday:

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cairo International airport. Assistance through airport departure formalities and boarding your flight for final departure from Egypt.
